Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct for students:

Being a provincialised college of Assam, Dhemaji Commerce College has followed all the rules and regulations formulated by the Govt. of Assam. So, the code and professional ethics for Principal, Teachers and Governing Body are governed by relevant Act, and Provisions of State Govt. issued from time to time. The UGC has also recommended code of ethics is equally applicable for the teachers and Principals drawing UGCs’ scale of pay. In adherence to the rules of Govt. of Assam and UGC the college has also framed some code of conduct for the students considering the need of the college.

Code of Conduct 

All students are to follow and abide by all rules and regulations of the college as informed time to time in terms of all affairs of the college.
All the students shall wear their identity cards, well displayed. No student will be allowed to enter the college and attend class without the identity card. Students are expected to maintain the highest standards of discipline and dignified manner of behavior inside as well as outside the College campus. They shall abide by the rules and regulations of the College and should act in a way that highlights the discipline and reputation of the college. 
No student shall enter or leave the class room when the session is on without the permission of the teacher concerned
No students shall wander or gather in verandah, corridor, and staircase etc., will not spend time in canteen, retail book shop etc. unnecessarily.
Students shall come to the college in approved uniforms. All the students are expected to attend all college functions in college uniform unless otherwise specified. All the students shall wear their identity cards, well displayed. No student will be allowed to enter the college and attend class without the identity card.
 Students have to behave properly with the teaching as well as administrative staff. They have to maintain decorum in the classrooms and outside and in the library.
Students have to take proper care of the College property and must not cause any damage to the same.
For any act of misconduct or misbehavior a student will have to face Discipline and code of conduct monitoring committee of the College, the decision of which in such cases is final and binding. Disciplinary action may involve warning and/ or fine, and/ or suspension from classes, from examination or even expulsion from the College.
 Ragging in any form in the college is strictly prohibited.

 Mobile phone must be kept switched off mode during the class hour. Any violation of this rule will invite penalty.

 The college is a no smoking zone. Strict action shall be taken against any student found using abusive substance or having  gutka etc.
